Wednesday - Read Genesis 1 -2:3. Do the following three things. 1. What major events happened on each day. 2. What are the repeatted statements God uses to describe the Creation and what are thier significance? 3. List 5 references to Creation found in the Bible outside of Genesis 1. Commit one to Memory.
Thursday - First 1/2 of nation signatures. Continue discussion of Creation.
Friday - Finish Nation Signatures. Continue discussion on creation. There will be a quiz next Friday September 7. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Assignments for Sept 3 - 7.
Monday - No school.
Tuesday - Relative dating, Fossils and the great unconformity. DO topic Q's p. 649 1-4.
Wednesday - Mini-lab after discussion on Absolute dating.
Thursday - Hand in Mini-lab. Finish discussion on Half-life and Mini-lab. Friday - Quiz on Creation and Dating Techniques. Assignments for September 10 - 14 Monday - Select LAb Partners. Hand out Creation mini research report. Guide sheet. Intro to Earth Science: 4 realms and measurements used. esp. Density Tuesday - Density Lab. Finish Discussion of Mini Report. Wednesday - Finish Density Lab. Introduction to Earth characteristics and motions. Time spent specifically on latitude and longitude. Thursday - Library Research day for Mini reasearch Project.Part two of earth motions, specifically time zones, international date line and rotation. Handed out worksheet. Numbers 1-10 due Friday. Friday - Part two of earth motions, specifically time zones, international date line and rotation. Assigned questions 1-3 and 5a for Monday. Any Final questions regarding Density finished. WS using globes for numbers 13 and 15. Side 1 due for Tuesday.
Tuesday - Lecture and discussion on Zenith, altitude and determining the altitude of the noon sun in the sky at a specific latitude on a specific day. Four steps are necessary: 1. Determine your location in degrees lat. 2. Determine the zenith sun location in degrees lat. 3. Figure out the total degrees apart the two locations are. 4. Subtract that value from 90. Your answer is the altitude of the noon sun for your location on the given date. Go through some practice problems on altitude.
Wednesday - Finish discussion of altitude, Discuss the importance of revolution and evidence for it. In class work time for review worksheet.
Thursday - Correct the review assignments as well as review for test.
Friday - Test on Earth motions, chapter 4. Research Assignment due Sept. 27. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
