Monday - Freshmen Orientation Day Tuesday - Meet the Family and Course introduction. Need to have a book cover by Wednesday. Bring Bibles. Wednesday - Finished Syllabus. Introduced Show and tell. Read Genesis 1-2:3. Thursday -1. What significant events happened on each day. 2. List of Repeated statements and their significance to us as Christians. 3. Find at least 5 references to Creation in the Bible NOT found in Genesis. Commit one to memory. Friday - Finish any remaining Signatures. Finish Thursday discussion. Monday - NO SCHOOL. Tuesday - Intro to Evolution. Read 401-402; bold words in notebook. Wednesday - Read 418-420, 423-429; List the so called evidences for evolution and explain why they are considered as such. Then follow that up with a Christian response or interpretation of the same data. Put the Bold terms from pages 424-426 and 428-429 in your notebook. Thursday - Share information in groups, and then as a class. Friday - Quiz on Unit One. Monday - Video on Incredible Creature that Defy Evolution III part 1. List animals and at least two incredible characteristics for each. Intro To Ecology. Assignment: vocab pp. 36-40 Tuesday - Finish Video part 2. Symbiosis examples, 3. Talk through competition. Wednesday - Competition activity in the multipurpose gym. Squirrels, Crocs, and Tigers were battling for the same resources. Worksheet to do with chapter 2 pages 38-46. Thursday - Intro to outdoor ecology. Handed out Outdoor Ecology info sheet and went outside. Friday - Discussed questions and handed in WS; watched part 2 of Incredible creatures. Monday - Review Outdoor Classroom Procedures. Talk through Vocab from 41-44. Watch more incredible creatures. Share symbiosis examples.
Tuesday - Spent most of time in the outdoor classroom. Accomplish 2 main things 1. Select your tree for study and take one picture. 2. Secure your home base area and begin to identify the many aboitic and biotic factors. Also look for any evidence of symbiosis and explain. Begin a rough sketch of your area.
Wednesday - Read pages 60-64 and 94-98 put vocabulary in notebook.
Thursday - Went outside for picture of our tree. Collected a leaf from our tree. Handed out review Assignment Due Monday.
Friday - Vocabulary quiz on Ecology. Assignment for monday: 1. Finish Review sheet on Ecology. 2. Define the following terms and come up with two examples for each one. a. Extinct b. Endangered c. Friday - Research day in the library for Biome project.
